The center of gravity in the X-20 Irons is much lower than their predecessors, the X-18s. Callaway was able to achieve this by using what they refer to as a Progressive Wall Reduction System. This means that the CG will progressively get lower as you proceed through the set; with the long irons having the lowest.

gravity in an iron is a very important characteristic, and that it is why it is
one of the defining features of a hybrid golf club. A low CG allows for golfers
to hit the ball into the air at a high trajectory much more easily because it
puts the majority of the weight directly behind, and beneath the ball. A high
launch trajectory also means that the ball will be less likely to roll when it
